Handwritten administrative correspondence addressed to a local council/committee.

The document is fully handwritten in Greek and signed by the local Post & Telegraph Office director.

Good for its age, with visible toning, folds, small puncture holes on the left margin, and a vertical discoloration stripe. No major loss of text.

Greek Ministry Document 1919 – Press Dept. to War Ministry – Asia Minor Campaign

Greek Royal Luncheon Menu Card c.1900 – Embossed Royal Coat of Arms, Handwritten French

Original handwritten luncheon menu card dating to the late 19th–early 20th century, featuring an embossed Hellenic royal coat of arms at the top. The menu is written in elegant French calligraphy and reflects the formal court dining traditions of the Greek monarchy and European royal households of the period.

The use of French as the language of the menu corresponds to the diplomatic and courtly conventions of the era. The menu includes refined dishes typical of aristocratic cuisine, such as hors d’œuvre, Hachis de Volaille à l’Alsacienne, and Côtelettes de Veau sautées.

The embossed royal coat of arms with crowned shield and heraldic supporters indicates official or court-related use. Based on style, typography, and heraldic design, the document can be dated to approximately 1880–1915.

Royal court menu cards were produced in limited numbers for official luncheons and ceremonial events and rarely survive today.

Condition

Folded horizontally with a visible central crease. Minor stains, edge wear, and general surface aging consistent with age. Handwritten notes appear on the reverse side. The embossed royal coat of arms remains clear and intact.
