A rare and historically important complete archive of 44 original vintage press photographs documenting the funeral of Alexandros Onassis (1948–1973), only son of Aristotle Onassis.
The photographs were taken in Athens in January 1973 by various major news agencies and professional photographers of the era.

Each photograph is 100% original, printed in the 1970s, NOT modern reprints, and bears original agency stamps and some photos have handwritten notes on the reverse.

The lot includes powerful and historically significant images such as:

• Scenes from the funeral ceremony
• Arrival of Aristotle Onassis
• Images of mourning family members and close associates
• Jackie Onassis arriving and attending the ceremony
