Set of two original antique photographic prints on paper, dating to the late 19th – early 20th century (circa 1890–1905).
Both photographs depict the same academic plaster sculpture of a nude male athlete holding a discus, shown from two different views. These images were produced for artistic and anatomical study and were actively used in fine art academies, which explains the heavy wear visible today.
The photographs show significant age-related wear, including creases, edge losses, surface abrasions and toning, all consistent with period use and age. Despite their condition, they remain authentic period photographs, not reproductions.
