Geniki Efimeris tis Ellados, (General Newspaper of Greece) the first official newspaper / government gazette of the modern Greek State.
Bound sequence of 87 issues from 16 Oct 1826 (Nafplio) to 24 Dec 1827 (Aegina) — Year II, in an early sewn binding with plain paper boards. 350 pages.

Provenance: Documented. Full provenance details will be disclosed to the purchaser upon completion of sale. Not included in the public listing or shipment, in accordance with standard archival privacy practice.

Overall well-preserved for the period. Leaves complete and generally clean, with light age toning and scattered foxing typical of early 19th-century paper. Some later handwritten notes on the outer endpapers (added unintentionally many decades after publication, do not affect printed content). Final issue (24 Dec 1827) present and intact, but detached from the binding. Early chain-stitched sewing remains structurally sound, outer coverings show expected wear.
