Original official correspondence issued by the Office of the Chief of the Hellenic Fire Service, dated 13 October 1937, Athens.

The letter is handwritten and hand-signed by the Chief of the Hellenic Fire Service, during the tenure of Παύλος Καραπατέας (served 1935–1940).

It represents an authentic example of Greek state administration during the interwar / Metaxas period, reflecting formal communication practices of a key public service.

The document is addressed to a private individual named John (Ioannis) Tsatsos.

Additional historical note

The recipient, John (Ioannis) Tsatsos, is documented as a member of the Φιλολογικός Σύλλογος Παρνασσός, one of the most important cultural and intellectual associations in Athens, and also appears in records as a member of the Οργάνωσις Εθνικής Αναγεννήσεως (O.E.A.) during the Metaxas period.

The lot includes the original mailing envelope, with period Greek postage stamps and postal markings.
