€22.00Official Greek Armed Forces Sports Council (A.S.A.E.D.) Christmas & New Year greeting card, dating from the 1960s–early 1970s.
The front cover features the classical Discobolus statue, symbol of ancient Greek athletics. Inside, a color photograph shows the Olympic Flame lighting ceremony at Ancient Olympia, accompanied by the official emblem of A.S.A.E.D., founded in 1947 (as indicated on the crest).
These cards were issued in limited quantities by the Hellenic Armed Forces for high-ranking officers, foreign delegations, and athletic organizations participating in military sports activities.
