A rare early 20th-century Greek military-scientific manual titled
Οδηγός προς Εξέτασιν Εδωδίμων και Ποτών,
published in Athens in 1902 by G. S. Vlastos.

Written by Anastasios K. Damvergis, professor at the National University of Athens,
and Tilemachos Komninos, professor of Chemistry at the Hellenic Military Academy.

This authoritative handbook was intended for official use by the Greek Army and Royal Navy, providing systematic methods for the examination, analysis, and quality control of:

• Food and beverages for military and naval supply

• Fabrics, leather, paper, fuels, oils, soaps, cosmetics

• Metals, alloys, and industrial materials

• Explosive and functional substances used by the Army and Navy

The volume is dedicated to H.R.H. Crown Prince Constantine, General Commander of the Greek Army, underlining its institutional and strategic importance.

Provenance

This copy is an ex-library volume of the Naval Academy of Poros (N.A.P.),
clearly marked on the spine and internally. It served as an official reference book for officer training and supply inspection procedures within the Royal Hellenic Navy.

HELLENIC NAVAL ACADEMY ENGINEERING SET (1929–1930)

Offered is a rare and complete three-volume engineering manual set issued for the Hellenic Naval Academy (Hellenic Navy Officer Cadets) in the late 1920s–early 1930s, shortly before World War II.

These volumes were used as official instructional material for naval engineer cadets, covering ship machinery, marine propulsion systems, and auxiliary naval equipment, with extensive technical analysis and detailed mechanical diagrams.

This is institutional educational material, not a commercial textbook.
