Tsatsos & Fils, located at 33–35 Rue d’Hermès (Ermou Street), Athens, the documents detail furniture sets, quantities, prices, shipping terms, sea freight costs, production timelines, and payment conditions. Dated 1923, this is a fascinating multi-lingual commercial accounting document printed in Ottoman Turkish, Armenian and French, reflecting the multicultural character of Constantinople in the early 20th century.
The document bears an original Ottoman revenue stamp (10 paras) and contains authentic handwritten entries of purchased items and amounts, with a total sum recorded.
The name and multilingual format strongly suggest that the bookshop was most probably Armenian-owned.
