1910 Alexandria Egypt Commercial Correspondence to a Member of the Averoff Family

45.00

Original handwritten commercial letter sent from Alexandria, Egypt, dated 19 August 1910, addressed to:

“Monsieur Georges Averoff”

The letter is written in French — the dominant commercial language of Alexandria at the time — and concerns banking and financial matters including:

  • loan arrangements,
  • banking procedures,
  • financial advances,
  • accounts and administration.

The correspondence was sent by Michel Cassabati of Alexandria and appears connected to the wider Averoff family business circle active in Egypt during the late 19th and early 20th century.

Although not addressed to the famous national benefactor George Averoff himself (who died in 1899), the recipient was likely a later member or associate of the prominent Averoff family network.

The document features:

  • elegant handwritten French script,
  • original Alexandria business stamp,
  • authentic commercial formatting,
  • and strong Belle Époque visual character.

Condition:
Good antique condition with folds, age wear, toning and handling marks consistent with age. Please examine photographs carefully.
