1934 Greek Navy Officer Letter – Handwritten Naval Correspondence, Officer Leaving for Military Exercises

In the letter, the officer explains that he must depart for naval military exercises (“γυμνάσια”) and is therefore unable to continue renting his room.
Good for age. Toning, folds, small edge wear, but fully legible and complete. No major tears. Exactly as photographed.

The Traveling Military Councils were official mobile military authorities, responsible for examining and classifying conscripts, especially in remote areas, and played a key role during the Greek Civil War period (1946–1949).
It bears original official military stamps and handwritten signatures of the President of the Traveling Military Council and the responsible conscription officer.

The front cover features the classical Discobolus statue, symbol of ancient Greek athletics. Inside, a color photograph shows the Olympic Flame lighting ceremony at Ancient Olympia, accompanied by the official emblem of A.S.A.E.D., founded in 1947 (as indicated on the crest).
These cards were issued in limited quantities by the Hellenic Armed Forces for high-ranking officers, foreign delegations, and athletic organizations participating in military sports activities.
Signed in print by Dimitrios Palaiologos, General Secretary of A.S.A.E.D. during this period.
