Original Greek handwritten inheritance agreement, dated 10 March 1884, drawn up and signed in Odessa, concerning the division of inherited property among three brothers.

The document records the allocation of land holdings in Moria, Mytilene (Lesvos), including boundaries, neighboring properties, and access roads. It represents a private but legally binding agreement, typical of 19th-century Greek legal practice, particularly among members of the Greek diaspora.

Written entirely by hand in formal katharevousa Greek, the document bears the original signatures of the three heirs at the end, together with binding declarations renouncing future claims or disputes.

Despite its worn condition, the manuscript remains fully legible and preserves its historical, legal, and genealogical significance.

Original Greek bank employment letter, issued in 1918 by the Τράπεζα Κρήτης.

The document is dated 1 August 1918 and was issued in Chania, Crete. It is addressed to Miss Argyri Barnia (Δεσποινίς Αργυρή Μπαρνιά) and concerns her appointment as a typist, with a stated monthly salary of 125 drachmas.

The letter bears the original handwritten signature of the Director of the Bank of Crete, confirming its authenticity as an official administrative document. The signer is identified by title only (“Director”), as is typical for the period.

Issued during the final year of World War I, this document represents an early and notable example of female employment in the Greek banking sector, only a few years after Crete’s incorporation into the modern Greek state.

Refugee Era Institutional Statutes – LOT of 2 Original Booklets

Offered is a rare lot of two original statutes booklets (Καταστατικά) issued in Athens in 1924 by the Armenian Red Cross and the Armenian Blue Cross, documenting the earliest organized welfare efforts of the Armenian refugee community in Greece.

Printed in the immediate aftermath of the Armenian Genocide and the Asia Minor Catastrophe, these publications represent primary-source institutional documents from the formative period of Armenian diaspora organization in interwar Greece.

1) Armenian Red Cross – Athens, 1924
