Rare vintage Greek historical photograph depicting the famous Trial of the Six (“Η Δίκη των Έξι”), one of the most important political trials in modern Greek history following the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
The photograph shows the military tribunal proceedings held inside the Greek Parliament building in Athens between October and November 1922. Visible are members of the tribunal, military officers, political defendants and courtroom attendees during the highly charged proceedings that led to the condemnation and execution of several leading political figures of the era.
The reverse bears an old handwritten identification in Greek mentioning:
“Η δίκη των έξι”
dates “30 Οκτωβρίου – 15 Νοεμβρίου 1922”
the military court held “εν τη αιθούση της Βουλής”
